This delightful vintage saucer with gold gilt & raised enamel detailing in the 20645 pattern is by George Jones & Sons.   Dimensions:  13.5cm diameter

George Jones started production of china at the Trent Potteries in 1872.  His sons joined the business in 1873 & it became known as George Jones & Sons; at that time ‘Crescent’ was registered as the trademark for the new company.  Use of the Crescent China trade name ceased around 1951 & the Crescent works were demolished in 1959.
