This highly collectable badge comes from my personal collection. It was issued to members of the ‘The Tarax Show’ – a children’s television show which aired on GTV-9 between 1957 & 1969 & was sponsored by Tarax Drinks. The blue & gold badge was the 1st badge received by members of the club, with other coloured badges earned by members over time. Dimensions: 2.9cm H x 2cm W
The badge comes with a generic presentation box.
The program started out as ‘The Happy Show’ with host Happy Hammond, then ‘The Tarax Happy Show’ which was co-hosted by Princess Panda. Ventriloquist Ron Blaskett & his doll Gerry Gee featured on the show for several years during which time a range of merchandise, including badges was produced. (source: museums vic)
