This Dickens Ware fine earthenware cabinet plate D2447 produced in 1907 features Mr Pickwick (Marine Store Dealer design) & is in excellent condition.
It has the special Dickens Ware backstamp & while the Charles Noke signature is very faint, it is visible under a 10x loupe & located on the bottom of the plate, to the right of Mr Pickwick’s feet (see last photo).
Charles Noke joined Royal Doulton in 1899 as their art director, premier modeller & designer & his pieces are highly sought after today. Diameter: 21.5cm diameter
