This matching plate & saucer was produced by Roslyn (Longton – Stoke-on-Trent) between 1946 & 1963.  The ‘Peace’ design is No. 6 of 6 in the “The World Famous Wheatcroft Roses” series.

Featuring the ever popular Peace rose the pieces are accentuated with gold detailing Dimensions:  Plate 15.5cm diameter   Saucer  14cm diameter     Handwash only

In my opinion, these days Roslyn China is very underrated & should be considered as an essential part of any collection & is further reflected by the company’s retention over the years by Thomas Wild & Royal Albert suggesting it was a valuable asset. (source: M Perry & NVC).   These are ideal ‘replacement pieces’ or perhaps for a tea room specialising in mismatched china.
