This cellulose acetate brooch is from the highly desirable “Pouncing Panther Collection from Lea Stein’s vintage period 1968 – 1980. It is in excellent condition & comes with the requisite v-shaped ‘Lea Stein Paris’ clasp.
Lea Stein is a French artist who is considered to be the most notable jewellery designer of cellulose jewellery of the 20th century. While her designs resemble the Art Deco period, they actually date to two distinct periods: vintage pieces 1969 to 1981 & modern pieces from 1991 onwards. Dimensions: 4cm high x 10.5cm long
