This is an exquisite Dudson Pitcher in the neoclassical design of Dancing Muses with an ivory sprigged band surrounding the top edge.  It is further enhanced by the pale green impressed band around the base which matches the pale glaze of the interior.  In 1898, Dudson Brothers was located at Hope Street Hanley, North Staffordshire & used bas-relief decoration giving the cameo effect to their pieces – in a similar style to Wedgwood.

It is in excellent condition, with the impressed backstamp dating production to the period 1898 – 1936. Dimensions:  13cm high
